Lefkowitz Partners With Nuevolution

Almost a year after winning his Nobel Prize for studies of G-protein coupled receptors, Dr. Robert Lefkowitz, James B. Duke professor of medicine and professor of biochemistry and immunology, has joined pharmaceutical company Lexicon Pharmaceuticals and Nuevolution—a molecular research lab—in examining GPCRs through an extensive compound screening process.

Duke Nobel Winner to Give Public Talk Nov. 1

Robert J. Lefkowitz, the Duke University researcher who won the 2012 Nobel Prize in chemistry this month, will give a free public talk at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in the Bryan Center’s Griffith Theater on research, scientific mentoring and other topics.
