Snookball comes to Durham
“Snookball," a hybrid between snooker and soccer, will be coming to North Carolina via Bull McCabe’s Irish Pub.The snookball pool table, which will measure 10 feet by 20 feet in area and stands 26 inches tall, is twice the size of a regular pool table and played with feet rather than pool cues. It will be constructed of painted wood boards and outdoor-grade felt. There will be a fence enclosing the playing area. It will be located on the northwest quadrant of West Main and West Chapel Hill streets.

Beyu Caffe has reopened
Beyu Caffe reopened Thursday. moving from 335 W. Main St. to 341 W. Main St. Taking its former spot is an English-style pub, formed by the owners of downtown Durham’s Bull McCabe’s Irish Pub and the owner of the Tandrum food truck.

British Indian gastropub to take over Beyú Caffe space
The owners of Bull
McCabe’s Irish Pub are teaming up with an Indian food truck owner to open an
English gastropub featuring British and south Asian cuisine in the current Beyu
Caffe.The new restaurant, will offer a wide range
of English, European and local craft beers and a selection of single-malt
scotch. Patel will serve up South Asian flavors with such dishes as curried
Shepherd’s pie, chicken tikka masala and kabobs, as well as such pub classics
as fish and chips and Scotch eggs.
