Durham celebrates drinking water week
Mayor William V. “Bill” Bell issued a
proclamation, declaring May 1-7 as Drinking Water Week.The proclamation acknowledges the contributions of water plant operators,
lab technicians, and other water industry professionals for their roles in providing drinking water
to residents.

Four candidates file for city of Durham election
Durham Mayor Bill Bell was the only mayoral candidate to file by the end of the business day Monday. Candidates who filed for the three at-large City Council seats include: Charlie Reece, Juan Alva, and Ricky L. Hart.
