Duke neuroscientist wins $4 million grant to study Parkinson’s disease
Duke University neuroscientist and biomedical engineer Warren Grill has been awarded a $4 million grant from the Javits Neuroscience Investigator Award to study deep brain stimulation in patients with Parkinson’s disease.

Duke Will Co-Lead NIH Research Network on Antibacterial Resistance

Duke Researchers Identify Gene Mutations Associated with Nearsightedness
Mutations in a gene that helps regulate copper and oxygen levels in eye tissue
are associated with a severe form of nearsightedness, according to a Duke Medicine study
published in the American Journal of Human Genetics on May 2, 2013.
