After 23 years as Durham Regional Hospital, the hospital has changed its name to Duke Regional Hospital to reflect its relationship with Duke Medicine.

Durham Regional Appoints Griffith as Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Barbara Griffith has been appointed chief medical officer of Durham Regional Hospital. Griffith served as president of Durham Regional’s medical staff from 2009-2010; she is also president and a staff physician for Durham Emergency Physicians.
