Burt's Bees appoints new VP, GM

Burt’s Bees has named Jim Geikie as its new vice president and general manager. Geikie was most recently vice president of international capability development at the company, and will succeed Craig Stevenson, who has been appointed vice president and general manager of Renew Life and Global Burt’s Bees within The Clorox Company.

Burt's Bees launches new social media campaign

Burt’s Bees has launched a social media campaign that encourages women to “Lose the Bs” in their social media post, then use a #BringBackTheBees hashtag. For every post, the brand will plant 1,000 wild flowers so the bees will have more places to get busy and pollinate. The goal is to plant 1 billion flowers as a result of the effort.

American Tobacco Campus Gets Bee Display

Bee Downtown and Burt's Bees have put up a observation beehive at Burt's Bee's office at the American Tobacco Campus in Downtown Durham. The structure is six feet tall and 2 feet wide with impact-resistant safety glass that holds 15,000 bees.

Craig Stevenson has been appointed vice president and general manager of Burt’s Bees, which is based in downtown Durham at the American Tobacco campus. He will take over March 1.

Nick Vlahos Appointed as Burt's Bees Vice President and General Manager

Burt's Bees has a new boss. Parent corporation Clorox appointed 15-year veteran Nick Vlahos as vice president and general manager of the Durham-based personal-care products company. He replaces John Replogle, who unexpectedly stepped down as CEO in February to join Seventh Generation, a Burlington, Vt., company that makes environmentally friendly household products.
