Bennett Place Raises $310K to Protect Land

Bennett Place Historic Site has raised $310,000  to protect 1.9 acres adjacent to Bennett Place, including the original Hillsborough Road that Generals Johnston and Sherman traveled to negotiate an effective end to the Civil War.

Bennett Place Historic Site Awards William M. Vatavuk Scholarship

Bennett Place State Historic Site has awarded the William M. Vatavuk Scholarship to Jessica Hoover on the basis of her high GPA and application essay on the significance of the historic Bennett Place farmhouse.
