21C Museum Hotel to Open Restaurant

The 21c Museum Hotel, which will open early next year at 111 N. Corcoran St., will have a restaurant, named the Counting House, focused on North Carolina’s seafood heritage. The restaurant will showcase a variety of rotisserie and roasting techniques in addition to fresh seafood.

21C Museum Hotel Names Executive Chef

Josh Munchel was named executive chef at Counting House restaurant in the upcoming 21c Museum Hotel in downtown Durham. Josh Munchel comes to Durham from Cincinnati, where he helped Metropole, the restaurant in the chain’s hotel in that city, win a place on Bon Appétit magazine’s list of Best New Restaurants 2013.
