Bull Durham Beer Company to expand

Bull Durham Beer Company has announced plans for expansion. They will partner with a chicken wing restaurant and will open a bar and restaurant next to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park at 359 Blackwell St.

The DBAP offers new items for 2016

DBAP will offer several new items this season.The Bulls have taken over all food items, which includes the club level and picnic areas.There are new food vendors, such as Angus Barn and Makus Empanadas, as well as new food offerings like bacon on a stick. There will be staples like hot dogs but, the DBAp's goal is to have as many hot dogs and as many toppings as any ballpark in the country. There is also a new 35-foot net that stretches from first to third base to protect fans from errant baseballs or bats. The 2016 season opener was held Thursday, April 7.

DBAP to install new netting system for improved safety

The Durham Bulls announced plans to install a new netting system that will extend the length of each dugout down the first- and third-base lines. Previously, the nets protected fans sitting directly behind home plate but did not extend to the dugouts.

Animated signs approved for Durham Bulls Athletic Park

Approval for two animated signs to occupy the entrance to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park,was granted by the City’s Board of Adjustment earlier this week. The two 139-square-foot signs will change images six times an hour — or about once every 10 minutes. And only 25 percent of the sign at any one time will be animated.The signs would also not be able to advertise anything not related to the Durham Bulls or the DBAP.
