City of Medicine Academy Principal Earns Award

Elizabeth Shearer of City of Medicine Academy was honored as the Durham Public Schools' Principal of the Year and will now represent the district in the North Carolina Wachovia Principal of the Year competition.

Ground Breaking for New School

Officials broke ground for the construction of the City of Medicine Academy, a three-story, 40,000-square-food structure on Crutchfield Street. The school is expected to open for classes in one year.
