Cocoa Cinnamon to open third location

Cocoa Cinnamon plans to open a micro-roastery and third retail location in Durham at 2013 Chapel Hill Road This location will supply Cocoa Cinnamon's three locations with coffee, in addition to the blends from guest roasters. The menu will also feature some new items like made-to-order churros with chocolate. There is no word on when the new location will open.

East Durham resident launches baking business out of her home

Ali Rudel launched East Durham Pie Company out of her house a few months ago. The company offers a variety of pies, from maple sweet potato to honey bourbon pecan, and focuses on about four flavors per season.The business delivers directly to consumers, and also offers mini pies that are sold in Cocoa Cinnamon and Respite Café. On Monday, downtown ice cream shop The Parlour will take Rudel’s pies and incorporate them into ice cream flavors for a “flight night,” where customers can try all the varieties with a $12 ticket.

Cocoa Cinnamon to Open Second Location

Leon Grodski de Barrera and Areli Barrera de Grodski will open a second location of their popular coffee shop Cocoa Cinnamon in Old West Durham at the intersection of Hillsborough Road and Trent Drive by spring of 2015.
