Angela Davis, a longtime workforce development leader, will be Durham Tech's Special Assistant for Equity and Inclusion. This is a new position designed to ensure that policies, procedures, and practices are consistent with the college’s Strategic Plan for a welcoming, engaging, understanding, and unifying institution for the community.

Durham Public Schools will offer a fire acadamy in the 2016-17 school year

Durham Public Schools will offer a fire academy, for high school students who want to become firefighters, starting in the 2016-17 school year.
