Durham Bulls break all time attendance record

The Durham Bulls have again broken their all-time, single-season paid attendance record during its 2014-2015, 20th Anniversary season, surpassing the previous mark of 533,033 with more than 536,000 attendees.

Durham Bulls to Open Bull Durham Beer Company

Durham Bulls Athletic Park will open Bull Durham Beer Company, a brewery on site at the park. The brewery will make about 10,000 pints per month on site at the DBAP, and will begin selling in May.

Rise Donuts and Durham Catering Now at DBAP

The Durham Bulls and Bull City Hospitality announced a partnership with Durham Catering Co., who will provide food and service in the PNC Triangle Club and suite level at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Durham Catering Co. owner Tom Ferguson will also bring his popular Rise Biscuits & Donuts concept to the DBAP in the form of a donut kiosk.

Durham Bull Create In-House Food and Beverage Group

The Durham Bulls announced the formation of Bull City Hospitality, a new company that will manage the food and beverage operations at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Bull City Hospitality, which will be fully staffed and operated by the Bulls, takes over for Centerplate which had served as the team’s concessionaire since the ballpark’s opening.

Durham Bulls Athletic Park to Add Gigantic Screens to Ballpark

The Durham Bulls Athletic park will add three displays to the ballpark experience. One will be 25.4 feet high and 63 feet long. The mechanical scoreboard will be rebuilt and installed in a location closer to the center field berm, as seen above.The second will be an LED strip running the length of the remaining outfield wall, from center to right field. It will be 327.6 feet long and 6.5 feet high. The third piece will be 3.2 feet high and run 119.8 feet. It will be installed above the new club level within the main seating bowl.

The Durham City Council approved a lease agreement Monday that will keep the Durham Bulls in Durham Bulls Athletic Park for at least the next 20 years and create a structure for future upgrades to the stadium.

Longtime Durham Bulls Manager Inducted into Hall of Fame

Longtime Durham Bulls manager, Bill Evers (1998-2005), was inducted into the International League Hall of Fame; the Bulls also retired the jersey No. 20 that Evers wore when he won a team-record 613 games and two International League Governor’s Cup trophies.

Durham Bulls' Russ Canzler to Play for Cleveland Indians

The Durham Bulls' Russ Canzler, the top player in the Class AAA International League last season, was acquired by the Cleveland Indians from the Tampa Bay Rays, whose roster he was expected to join. Canzler, 25, played four positions - right and left field, third and first base - last season for the Durham Bulls, and he batted .314 with 18 homers and 83 RBIs in 131 games.
