The Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II, president of the North Carolina NAACP and founder of the Forward Together Moral Movement, will deliver the keynote address for Duke University's annual Martin Luther King Jr. commemoration on Sunday, Jan. 18.

NAACP of Durham Celebrates 95th Anniversary

The Durham Branch of the NAACP has entered its 95th year of service in the Durham community. Many of the charter members of the Durham Branch are important figures in the history of the city including E.R. Merrick, Julia Warren, S.L. Warren and W.D. Hill among others.
