Durham Public Schools Honors 36 National Board Certified Teachers

Durham Public Schools will honor 36 teachers for completing their National Board Certification. Twenty-seven of the teachers have obtained national certification for the first time, while nine are being honored for their re-certification. The 36 Durham teachers were among 1,244 certified across North Carolina in November, bringing the state’s total number of credentialed teachers to 19,193 – the largest number of National Board Certified teachers in the nation.
