Durham Elementary Schools Complete 100th Day Hunger Challenge

Students at nine Durham public elementary schools collected approximately 7,500 cans of food as part of the Hundredth Day Hunger Challenge. Students at Sandy Ridge, Easley, Watts Montessori, Hillandale, Hope Valley, Mangum, Morehead, E.K. Powe and Oak Grove elementary schools strove to collect at least 100 canned goods per classroom to be donated to local food pantries and shelters.
