Dr. Charles "Chuck"
Davis, founder and director of the African American Dance Ensemble and
DanceAfrica America, will be awarded the Award of Merit for Achievement in
Performing Arts by the Association of Performing Arts Presenters at the 59th annual
APAP Awards luncheon in New York January
18, 2016. Awards are chosen based on esteemed artists, visionaries and advocates who
have had a significant impact
on the industry and communities worldwide.
