City of Durham's Purchasing Division Awarded Professional Honor

The City of Durham’s Purchasing Division has been awarded the Sustained Professional Purchasing Award (SPPA) for 2011. The award recognizes sustained excellence in purchasing standards during the previous calendar year and is the highest award a purchasing department or division can obtain within the Carolinas Association of Governmental Purchasing (CAGP). The criteria for the award include the use of technology, minority outreach, staff certification, customer training, vendor training, and the use of recycled products.
