Durham Public Schools named four finalists for the 10 Teacher of the Year award:
- Alaina Burr, English as a Second Language teacher at Riverside High School.
- Carrie Jacobsohn, sixth-grade social studies teacher at Carrington Middle School.
- Karen Lodata, fifth-grade teacher at Holt Elementary School.
- Yolanda Reilly, physical education/health teacher at Shepard Middle School.
