National Endowment for the Arts Names Robert Ward Lifetime Honors Recipient

Composer Robert Ward, a past professor of music at Duke University and the man who helped bring "Carmen" to Brightleaf Square, has been named a Lifetime Honors recipient by the National Endowment for the Arts. Ward  is among four honorees who will receive awards for their achievements in opera at an Oct. 27 ceremony in the Herman Center for the Arts in Washington, D.C.
