Duke University Hospital to Renovate Duke North
Duke University Hospital will renovate Duke North, a more than 30-year-old hospital. The project includes fully renovating nine operating rooms and providing
minor upgrades to two additional operating rooms, as well as renovating the
16-bed cardiac critical care unit on the seventh floor. The hospital’s electrical, plumbing, fire alarm and HVAC systems will be
upgraded to meet current building codes and standards. The entire project is expected to be completed August of 2015 and cost a
total of $48.4 million.
