Durham 'Teacher of the Year' Invited to Attend State of the Union Address

Jason Jowers, assistant pricipal and dean of students at Hillside High School, will be attending the president's State of the Union address in Washington, DC as a guest of U.S. Rep. G.K. Butterfield, a Democrat from Wilson. Jowers is a graduate of NC Central University and Durham Public Schools' 2011 Teacher of the Year.
