Habitat for Humanity of Durham announced today that Sandy Sweitzer has been named director of development. Sweitzer brings more than 20 years of nonprofit experience, with 14 years of leadership in Durham.

Durham-based drug developer BioCryst Pharmaceuticals is buying San Francisco-based Presidio Pharmaceuticals in an attempt to develop new treatments for hepatitis C.
