Durham-tested Drug Approved by FDA

Apixaban, a drug aimed at preventing strokes, has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. New York-based Bristol-Myers Squibb and New York-based Pfizer Inc. partnered to develop the drug, and tested it at Duke University in Durham.
